GENERAL OVERVIEW

Work environment is ever changing and this has immense bearing on various work related aspects including work place health & safety. Every employer, employee and safety provider needs to incorporate a dynamic safety management program that can keep up with the ever changing work environments.
As a provider of fall protection safety systems and equipment, Tritech Fall Protection Systems derives much satisfaction from our ability to offer solutions that meet your changing needs. As rightly put by John L. Henshaw (Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health): "There can be no work more rewarding and no job more fulfilling than helping to protect the lives and well-being of the working men and women who keep our nation strong. We can make a difference and we will."
It is a known fact that falls from heights are one of the leading causes of occupational accidents and injuries. A fall protection program should be formalized. A good starting point is an objective fall hazard assessment of your facility. Having identified the fall hazard, the first attempt should be to restrict the workers from reaching such a hazard or a fall prevention procedure should be adopted. If that is not possible, then some controls need to be put in place.
The controls not only include appropriate fall protection equipment, accessories and / or engineered systems but very importantly the Standard Operating Procedures. Training of workers is also intrinsic to this. Rescue Procedures, Periodic Servicing, Documentation, Reporting and Periodic Review are other aspects of a fall protection program that must not be neglected.
An effort must be made to update oneself with the changing local and federal legislations and ensure compliance.
